KIMG OF MY UNIVERSE - SWATHI MADHAVAN
He wasn't a world-famous hero, but he was a hero to his little kid.
My father was a god who had all
knowledge.
And with the goodies he'd bring, he'd be better than Santa.
I could recognise his voice even before I could speak,
and I adored it when he sang me to sleep.
He was the one who changed my diapers.
And I sat awake the entire night.
When my body felt weak, I would fight back.
He'd come home late with little to say,
and he'd have us all kneel while teaching me to pray.
He taught me valuable life lessons.
Of good and bad, he instilled principles in me so that I could be strong.
As a result, he stood like a hero over
the years.
He was working hard to contribute everything he had.
We valued his presence, and we delighted in seeing him grin,
because no one in the world could match his manner.
As a result, dear Dad,
My favourite memory is the gift of your
presence, which is the greatest gift of all.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
